The Role: Your Chance to Make a Big Impact
We're looking for our first Product Manager to take charge of a key area of our product. This isn't just about managing tasks; it's about owning your product area, making important decisions, and helping us figure out the best ways to solve big problems for our users.
You'll work closely with the founders, who will provide the overall vision and support, but you'll be the one driving your product area forward day-to-day. We want someone who is a real go-getter and can help us achieve big things, not just someone who waits for instructions.
You'll be the main person making decisions for your product area, turning ideas into real features, and making sure our engineering team can build them effectively. What You’ll Do
- Own Your Product Area: Take full responsibility for your part of the product. This means proactively looking for problems to solve and new opportunities to make our product better.
- Lead Product Efforts: Manage the plan for your product area, from big ideas to the small details.
- Work with the Team: Be the go-to person for our engineers and quality assurance (QA) team. You'll answer their questions and make sure they have clear instructions (user stories, requirements) so they can build great features.
- Think Strategically, Act Practically: Help shape the product's direction but also get things done efficiently.
- Communicate Clearly: Keep everyone in the loop and work well with the founders to turn their vision into real product improvements.
- Test and Improve: Check new features to make sure they work well before our users see them.
- Use Smart Tools: Use AI and other tools to help you write, plan, and stay organized.
- Keep Track: Make sure our product plans and documents are always up-to-date.
You are:
- Experienced in industry with 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 of those years working as a Product Manager.
- Organized & Proactive: You can manage your work well and you look for ways to help before being asked.
- Familiar with Tech Tools: You're comfortable using tools like Jira (for planning), Confluence (for documents), Slack (for team chat), and Google's tools.
- AI User: You actively use AI tools to help you work smarter and faster.
Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points!)
- Experience in software for businesses (SaaS, B2B), or in industries like service/repair.
- You've worked on products that involve scheduling, payments, managing inventory, or customer websites.
- You're comfortable sketching out ideas (like simple drawings of screens) or understanding how software works behind the scenes.
